'Blonde'
Highlights Students' Works
Get ready for a night of outrageous comedy and
drama as the Theatre Company of Jackson Community College presents Theatrewerks:
"Blonde," a collection of one-act plays from the
cutting edge. The production
will be held at 8 p.m. December 6, 7, and 8 in the Ruth Day
Theatre in the George E. Potter Center.
Theatrewerks combines several one-act plays along with monologues and
dances, for a fast-paced evening of entertainment.
The production is a final project of Instructor Sandy DiCesare's
Acting III class and of students completing a practicum study in theater.
Students are involved in all aspects of the production; four of the
17 pieces are written by students, and with students involved in acting,
direction, set design and construction, and stage management.
"This helps focus on students and what they can do," DiCesare said.
"This year's group has been even more of an ensemble than past
years."
Subject matter for some of the plays features adult situations and strong
language.
Tickets are available at the George E. Potter Center
Box Office for $5. Call (517)
796-8600.
