Poetry Night to feature Petry, Davies, JCC students

Poetry will be in the spotlight at the Nomad Bookhouse as Jackson Community College Professor Martha Petry and JCC alumna Betsy Davies present their works. The next Poetry Night planned for 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Nomad Bookhouse, 229 S. Mechanic St., Jackson.

Martha Petry teaches composition, literature and dance at JCC. Betsy Davies is a writer and former JCC student. There will also be a semi-open microphone for JCC creative writing students. This is part of a monthly series of reading at the Nomad hosted by John Yohe, adjunct instructor at the College.

Admission is free and all are welcome! The Nomad Bookhouse does have a café where customers may purchase coffees, teas, specialty drinks and snacks.
