Summer Band Camp: JCC will host is 20th Annual Summer Band Camp from June 18-28 at the Potter Center. This camp is specifically designed for young musicians in grades 5-8, who may receive great instruction and benefit from the convenience and savings of JCC’s program. The morning session, from 9 a.m. to noon, focuses on the particular needs of students who have completed the first year of instruction, and the afternoon session from 1-4 p.m. is designed for students with more than one year of instruction, but who have not yet attended high school. A final concert on June 28 will celebrate two weeks of learning. Enrollment will be limited by instrument and number. Cost of the camp is $95. For more information, contact Ron Douglass, associate professor of music at JCC and conductor of the Jackson Community Concert Band, at 517.796.8559, or Ellen Young, 517.796.8582.
