October 8, 2007 For immediate release Alumni computer workshop series slated to begin Oct. 13Jackson Community College’s Alumni Association invites any interested alumni to attend an upcoming monthly series of computer workshops, with the first this Saturday, Oct. 13, offering tips on how to use Microsoft Office Publisher. Microsoft Office Publisher allows individuals to create a large number of publications, including greeting cards, newsletters, brochures, web sites, e-mail formats and more. Create your own wedding invitations or thank you notes, create business cards for a small business, create a brochure for an upcoming event, and much more with this Publisher software. JCC’s alumni workshop series are hosted by current information technology personnel and student workers. The workshop begin at 10 a.m. and runs till noon, with additional one-on-one time available from noon to 1 p.m. It will be held in the new William Atkinson Hall on the Jackson campus.
