William Atkinson Hall, a new, state-of-the-art information and technology center and library is nearing completion at Jackson Community College. College officials will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13 to celebrate the new facility, to be followed by tours and refreshments.
Second basketball camp canceled

Jackson Community College has canceled the high school fundamentals basketball camp scheduled Aug. 8-10. A basketball camp for students in fifth- through eighth-grades is currently underway in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse at JCC.
Michigan’s No Worker Left Behind offers funds for college

Michigan is taking the next step to help thousands of unemployed – and underemployed – individuals who need new skills and training to transition to a new career. Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s No Worker Left Behind initiative provides dislocated and low-wage workers with up to two years of free tuition at any Michigan community college, university, or other approved training program.
Evening information night designed for adults thinking about college
