JCC welcomes Jackson Pastor James Hines to Project Success Day

Jackson Community College will welcome the Rev. James Hines of Jackson’s Lily Missionary Baptist Church as keynote speaker for the Winter semester Project Success Day, on Tuesday, Feb. 6. He will speak at 11 a.m. in the Michael Baughman Theater, Potter Center. Hines will speak on volunteerism and community service, and the public is welcome.
Lansing poet to speak at JCC

Auditions to be held for ‘Henry IV’

Jackson Community College will hold open auditions for the upcoming production of Nobel Prize for Literature Winner Luigi Pirandello’s “Henry IV,” on Jan. 17 & 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Baughman Theatre, Potter Center.
More minority students choosing JCC

Jackson Community College’s minority enrollment has increased 18 percent this Winter semester compared to the 2006 semester, and is up 30 percent from five years ago.
Truck driver training gets rolling at JCC

Local residents will soon be able to prepare for a profession in the high-demand field of truck driving! Jackson Community College will begin offering Commercial Driver’s License training on Jan. 29, pending state approval.
JCC Winter enrollment grows

Jackson Community College’s Winter semester enrollment is snowballing, headcount is up 300 students over opening day Fall semester and billing contact hours are at the highest level since 1980. Students continue to register this week and enrollment for Session II winter classes continue.
