About ABBA
ABBA was a Swedish pop music group active from 1972 until 1982, and is the most successful act ever to come out of Scandinavia. Its members, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad were all successful solo musicians before joining forces, and it was not until 1973 that they changed their name to ABBA, an acronym of their first names.
