Tango Fire to heat up Potter Center stage

An exciting stage show from the dance halls of Argentina comes to Jackson Community College’s Potter Center with Tango Fire, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.

Featuring a quintet of brilliant young musicians, 10 torrid dancers and one of Argentina's finest singers, Tango Fire offers a journey through the history of tango -- the world's most alluring and exciting dance. The success of Tango Fire has been phenomenal; it has toured the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific to high acclaim.

Tango Fire offers a journey from the red light district of Buenos Aires, to the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, into the world of contemporary ballroom dance. Tango -- Argentina's gift to the world -- is one of the most alluring and exciting dance forms, evoking sensuality and intrigue, lust, raw energy and knife-edge precision.

Tickets for Tango Fire are $32, $28 and $24 and may be purchased by calling the Potter Center Box Office at 517.796.8600, or online at www.jccmi.edu, under “Visitors & Events” and “Events.”
