For immediate release Unangle the mysteries of the World Wide Web at alumni workshopJackson Community College’s Alumni Association invites any interested alumni to attend an upcoming computer workshop Saturday, Feb. 16, exploring the “World Wide Web: Helpful Websites You Shouldn’t Miss Out On!” Have you ever been looking for something on the Internet but didn’t know the best place to look for it? This session will help you narrow down the best web sites for things like weather, news, health topics, shopping, research and Internet security. It will also show you some of the best Internet search engines and show you how to tell if an Internet site is secure and reliable. After this session you’ll know how to better optimize your time spent on the World Wide Web.. JCC’s alumni workshop series is hosted by current information technology personnel and student workers. The workshop will run from 10 a.m. through noon, with additional one-on-one time available from noon to 1 p.m. All workshop sessions are held in the new William Atkinson Hall, Room 120, on the Jackson campus.
