JCC Jets' Sierminski honored

Jackson Community College Jets forward Andy Sierminski has been named to the men’s basketball Second Team All-Western Conference in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association for the 2007-08 season.

Sierminski, a sophomore at JCC, averaged 22.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in the Jets season.  Sierminski will participate in the MCCAA All-Star Game that will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at Lansing Community College. He is a graduate of Lumen Christi High School.

JCC men’s basketball coach Steve Finamore will be coaching the Western Conference team for the MCCAA All-Star Game next Sunday. “We’re really excited and proud of Andy’s accomplishments,” said Stephen Bloomfield, JCC athletic director and assistant dean for student life. “We are very proud of Steve Finamore for the work that he put in this first year and having the opportunity to coach in the all-star game.”
