Artistic printmaking workshop planned for March 20

Jackson Community College will host a printmaking workshop for aspiring artists from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20 in Bert Walker Hall Room 207 on the Jackson campus.

Make artistic prints without a press in this workshop featuring wood cuts, linoleum cuts, rubber cuts and transfers.  All supplies will be provided, and participants should wear older clothes as they will be working with ink. 

Teaching this workshop will be Andrea Eckert, an adjunct art instructor at JCC and a studio artist who does painting, printmaking and assemblages.  Eckert holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids.

This workshop is free to JCC students, and member of the public may participate for $10.  Enrollment is limited to the first 15 participants, so please RSVP to Ellen Young, 517.796.8582.
