College to offer courses at Western, Grass Lake schools
To help ease college students’ burdens with climbing gasoline prices, Jackson Community College will reach out to the east and west sides of Jackson County this fall by offering courses at Grass Lake High School and Western High School.
JCC will offer several courses at Grass Lake and Western in the evenings Monday through Thursday, from about 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. These courses are designed for any students who would prefer the convenience of these locations, including non-traditional students who work during the day and high school students interested in dual enrollment in college.
Courses at Grass Lake will include:
- Beginning Algebra, Math (MTH) 120, 4 credits
- College Reading, English (ENG) 085, 4 credits
- Computer Literacy, Computer Information Systems (CIS) 100, 2 credits
- Introduction to Health Occupations, Health Occupations (HOC) 130, 3 credits
- Introduction to Psychology, Psychology (PSY) 140, 4 credits
- Life Maps, Freshman Year Seminar (FYS) 110, 1 credit
- Pre-Algebra, Math (MTH) 098, 4 credits
- Successful Small Business, Business (BUA) 122, 3 credits
- Sustainable Operating Systems (STM) 100, 3 credits
- Writing Experience, English (ENG) 131, 3 credits
Courses at Western will include:
