Performers Sought for Program Highlighting Arts in Education

9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, JCC Main Campus

  

Calling all performing artists who enjoy sharing their talents with young children and would like to be part of promoting the use of the arts in preschool and kindergarten classrooms. 

The Michigan Wolf Trap Program (www.miaeyc.org/wolftrap/ ) and Jackson Community College are seeking professional performing artists in the disciplines of creative drama, storytelling, puppetry, instrumental and vocal music, dance and movement, who are interested in teacher training and artist-in-residencies opportunities.  The Wolf Trap Institute and the Michigan Wolf Trap program train early childhood professionals to use performing arts techniques in the classroom. 

Interested artists are invited to bring a resume and attend an informational orientation on Saturday, October 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Jackson Community College's Main Campus, 2111 Emmons Road, Bert Walker Hall, Room 212.  For more information or to register, call Lori Gardner, JCC early childhood development and education coordinator, at 517-787-0800 ext. 8275.
