Georgian State Dancers to Perform

              Jackson Community College will welcome the acclaimed Georgian State Dance Company, direct from the Republic of Georgia, to the Potter Center stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2002. 

            The Georgian State Dance Company, of the former Soviet Union, is composed of 80 devoted dancers.  Their performances are a treasury of Georgian folk dances in a variety of solo, pair and group works.  Dancers combine stately elegance and energetic athleticism as they move across the stage, along with a large dose of artistry and precision.  The Company has performed all over the world, exciting audiences wherever they go.
