Fight the Flu Bug! Clinic Planned at JCC
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, October 8, Justin Whiting Hall
Jackson Community College will provide flu and pneumonia vaccinations during a one-day clinic on campus next Friday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Justin Whiting Hall, Room 204, the nursing lab. This event is open to the community.
Residents across Jackson and the nation saw a serious flu outbreak last year, with more deaths due to influenza than usual. Children and youth age 18 and under should see their pediatrician. Those with special health concerns may want to consult their physician before getting a shot.
Cost for the flu vaccine will be $20 per person, and the pneumonia vaccine will be $33 per person. For more information, contact Chris Davis, JCC assistant professor of nursing, at 796-8492.
