Register Now for Dahlem Goblin Walks
7 p.m. October 29-30, Dahlem Center
Fantasy will prevail as spooks, spiders, bats and other larger-than-life characters rendezvous at the Dahlem Environmental Education Center's popular "Goblin Walks." These family-oriented Halloween programs are slated to begin at 15-minute intervals (starting at 7 p.m.) on the evenings of October 29 and 30 at the Dahlem Center, 7117 S. Jackson Road.
Avoid guts and gore...Goblin Walks are an old-fashioned celebration of Halloween intended for families (& adults who are kids at heart). Goblin Walkers will be assigned to trail groups for their adventure down the Center's pumpkin-lit paths, past the Scarecrow Gallery, to encounters with a variety of Halloween and nature characters that will help participants discover "nature's night-time wonders." The trek ends with songs around a bonfire. Refreshments at are included in the $6 admission fee ($4 for Dahlem Center members).
Come costumed, if you like, and bring along your own little trickers and treaters for a magical night every age can enjoy. (Sorry, no unescorted children can be accommodated. Also, youth groups are encouraged to make this a family activity.)
Reservations are required and popular time slots fill quickly, so early registration is recommended. To make reservations or obtain additional information, call the Dahlem Center, (517) 782-3453.
