Celebration of Arts features collage of talent

8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, Potter Center

 

            There will be something for everyone as Jackson Community College arts and humanities students are featured in the annual Celebration of the Arts, Tuesday, April 12, at 8 p.m. in Michael Baughman Theatre, Potter Center.

            The celebration is a "collage" format, with students from a number of artistic areas performing.  "This collage format is a fast-paced, 75 minutes with wonderful variety," said Ron Douglass, associate professor of music at JCC and conductor of the Jackson Community Concert Band. 

            The program will include: Broadway Revue, Jackson Community Concert Band, JCC Theatre Company, African Drum Ensemble, Brass Quintet, Jazz Quintet, piano solo, dancers, vocal soloists, JCC studio art students, poets and writers. 

            The performance will begin at 8 p.m., and tickets are $5, plus additional ticket fees where applicable.  For more information, call (517) 796-8600.
