JCC, Siena Heights offer accelerated business program
Jackson Community College and Siena Heights University will partner to offer a new option for adults seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Starting this fall, JCC and SHU will offer an accelerated bachelor's degree that may be completed in less than three years.
The JCC/ SHU program offers the same courses you would take in a traditional bachelor's degree in business administration program, but in a shorter, more condensed time frame. Students will attend classes on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays, approximately every other week, at the JCC @ Lenawee VO-TECH Center, for eight-week sessions in fall and winter, six-week sessions in spring. Courses will combine online and face-to-face components. Students should have Internet access at home, or consistent access to the Internet on another computer.
"We are pleased and excited to offer this excellent opportunity for students to complete a business degree in a short time frame," said Michael Masters, assistant dean and director, JCC @ Lenawee VO-TECH. "A degree in business can open a lot of doors to a great career."
JCC is currently accepting applications for fall classes, which will start in September at JCC @ Lenawee VO-TECH. Admission is limited; students will be admitted as a "cohort" group that will progress through the program together.
