JCC efforts to assist hurricane victims
Jackson Community College, in cooperation with the National Forensics, Speech and Debate organization, is hosting a coat drive for victims of Hurricane Katrina who are displaced to colder climates. Quality coats, either new or slightly used but in good condition, can be dropped off on JCC's main campus over the next two weeks, in the Bert Walker Hall main office.
The JCC Student Bookstore, operated by Follett's, is asking students and customers to donate $1 at the register, with all proceeds to benefit hurricane victims. Donations can be made at both the JCC Bookstore on main campus, JCC @ VO-TECH Bookstore, or any Follett-operated bookstore.
