New Business & Industry Support Center web site brings support online; Lean Systems training available
Jackson Community College's Business and Industry Support Center (BISC) is pleased to announce the launch of its new web site to help better serve business needs in the South Central Michigan area. Business and industry leaders can log on to www.jccmi.edu/bisc and find a complete description of the center's service and training options.
BISC brings together employment, economic development and workforce development initiatives to better serve employers in the South Central Michigan region. In the coming weeks, the BISC, in cooperation with the Jackson Area Manufacturers Association, will present a series of four training sessions on Lean Systems:
- Lean System Overview & Simulation, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, Federer Room A, Potter Center.
- Process Analytical Tools, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, Justin Whiting Hall, Room 211.
- Set-Up Reduction Workshop, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, Justin Whiting Hall, Room 205.
- 5S Implementation for Workplace Organization & Safety, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Nov. 16, Justin Whiting Hall, Room 205, and Nov. 17, Whiting Hall, Room 206.
