3/14/06 For immediate release Hands-on financial aid workshops plannedLooking for money for college? Applying for financial aid is your first step. Jackson Community College will host two hands-on financial aid workshops for students and parents to learn about filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The first session, on Thursday, March 23, from 6-8 p.m., will help students to apply for a personal identification number (PIN), necessary for completing the application process online. Another workshop will be held Thursday, April 13, from 6-8 p.m. to complete the process. Students will be welcome at either session. Workshops will be held in Justin Whiting Hall Room 102, on the main campus of JCC, 2111 Emmons Road. A variety of financial aid options are available for JCC students, including grants, loans, or student employment. Filing the FAFSA on the web helps to speed up the process, though paper applications are available. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office at 517-796-8410. |
