Local residents invited to cool off in Potter Center
With temperatures in the high 90s and heat indices well over 100 degrees outside, Jackson Community College invites community members without air conditioning to cool off in the Potter Center’s Snyder Cafeteria.
The Potter Center will be open until 5 p.m., and light refreshments will be available. Jackson Transportation Authority buses run throughout the afternoon, leaving the downtown Transfer Center at 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., to drop off and pick up at Whiting Hall, a short walk to Potter Center.
Bus schedule is as follows:

| 12:30 p.m. | Departs from Whiting Hall |
| 12:45 p.m. | Arrives at downtown Transfer Center |
