February 16th, 2007 For immediate release Poetry night planned at Nomad BookhouseJackson Community College will host the monthly poetry night at the Nomad Bookhouse in Jackson on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. This month’s featured presenters include John Wood, a poet, visual artist and teacher from Detroit, and Maria Orlowski, who teaches drama and creative writing at JCC and is the author of the memoir “Trains,” under the pen name Miriam Winter. There will be a semi-open microphone beforehand feature creative students from JCC. Poetry nights are hosted by JCC instructor John Yohe, who teaches composition and creative writing. The Nomad Bookhouse is located at 229 S. Mechanic St., Jackson. |
