‘Big Read’ activities finish up with Pecan Music Gumbo Celebration
Jackson wraps up the Big Read celebration of the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” with a “Pecan Music Gumbo Celebration” from 8-10 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Daryl’s Downtown. This celebration will feature the Spring Arbor University Gospel Choir and a jazz group from JCC.
The Big Read is a communitywide effort to get people reading, with a month of activities centered around the Harper Lee classic. Numerous discussion groups, performances and other activities are scheduled for the month.
