Super Bowl Champion Coach Dungy, joined by Smith and Marinelli, to appear at JCC fundraiser

Attention all football lovers! Jackson Community College will welcome Coach Tony Dungy of the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, along with his Super Bowl opponent, Chicago Bears Coach Lovie Smith, and Detroit Lions Coach Rod Marinelli, to a dinner on Friday, June 15 and auction to raise funds for the Dr. Wilbur L. Dungy Endowed Chair in Science. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. in the Community Events Center, formerly the Michigan Space and Science Center.

Both a silent and live auction is planned with several sports memorabilia items available. Get the inside scoop on the coming NFL season from these three veteran coaches. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Dr. Wilbur L. Dungy Endowed Chair in Science Fund at JCC. In memory of his dedication to education, Dr. Dungy’s children have established the endowed chair to help promote excellence in teaching at the College. It will provide a faculty member with resources for professional development, purchase of equipment, promotional development, and development of a conference or similar educational opportunity for students. The Dungy family and donors have contributed $600,000 toward a $1 million goal for the Dr. Wilbur L. Dungy Endowed Chair.
