JCC Volleyball's Phillip Hitter of Week from NJCAA
Jackson Community College
volleyball player Krista Phillip, a first-year student from Onsted, was named
the NJCAA Division II volleyball co-hitter of the week.
Phillip is a 5’10” outside hitter
who averaged 4.1 kills, 1.0 digs, 0.2 blocks and 0.1 service aces over 25 games
for the week of Oct. 17. She led the first-year Jackson volleyball program to
the first tournament championship in school history. She had double-digit kills
against Kalamazoo Valley (15), Lansing (11), Danville (15), Kankakee (20), John
A. Logan (20), and Illinois Valley (15). An all-tournament team selection,
Phillip has ranked in the NJCAA top-10 kills per game throughout the season.
