'Womanless' beauty pageant, spaghetti dinner planned to raise funds for Jets softball

Laugh to the antics of “womanless” beauty pageant and enjoy a spaghetti dinner as the Jackson Community College women’s softball team presents the fundraiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 in the Potter Center cafeteria. 

Jets women’s softball coach Kelli Wheeler said the womanless beauty pageant will feature both an evening gown and a talent competition, and everyone is invited to enjoy the spaghetti dinner and the fun!  There will also be a silent auction with donated items from area Jackson businesses.  Tickets are $10 and are available by calling the JCC Fieldhouse at 517.787.0800 ext. 8248.

“We hope people will come out, meet the team and have fun,” Wheeler said. “We have some men from campus and from the community who thought it sounded like fun who have agreed to compete.”

Funds raised will go toward the women’s softball team, to support travel costs, spring training, uniforms and more.
