Respiratory care students reach out into community
Sharing with the community important information about asthma, students in Jackson Community College’s respiratory care program will be assisting the Jackson Asthma Coalition in a health fair at the Middle School at Parkside on April 28, and a World Asthma Day activity on May 6 at Northeast Elementary School in Jackson.
JCC students will present information on how the lungs work at these health events, said Ann Flint, JCC program director for respiratory care. Other topics to be presented include asthma triggers and asthma devices, secondhand smoke and asthma, and exercise and asthma.
For more information about either event, please contact the Jackson Asthma Coalition at 517.841.7905.
