May 6, 2008 For immediate release JCC students, personnel help clean up campus![]() More than 50 people helped clean up the campus of Jackson Community College on Earth Day, April 22. The campus cleanup was sponsored by Student Parliament and involved students and student organizations, staff, faculty, and administrators. Volunteers picked up trash and debris around the JCC campus and on several roadways near the campus as well. There were 65 trash bags collected, roughly 300 pounds of debris, as well as some larger items such as tires, stationary exercise bike and automotive bumper. “We would like to thank everyone who participated and
helped to make the day a success,” said April Sue Platt, director of residence
life.
