For immediate release Sports updatesBaseball player accepted at Madonna Jackson Community College baseball first- and third-baseman Tim Duffy has signed to play baseball next year for the Crusaders of Madonna University in Livonia. Duffy, from Carleton, Mich., played two years with the JCC Jets men’s baseball team. He led the Jets in home runs in 2008 with seven, and he hit .305 with 33 runs batted in and 10 doubles. Women’s soccer to hold more tryouts Jackson Community College women’s soccer will host one final tryout date at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at the College soccer practice facility. Prospective players must be full-time JCC or planning on becoming full-time JCC students this fall.
