For immediate release JCC Foundation hires directorJackson Community College is pleased to introduce Jason Valente, executive director of the JCC Foundation. “I am thrilled to be part of the Jackson Community College team. We have a talented and gifted Foundation staff and a committed and enthusiastic board of directors,” Valente said. “I look forward to moving the College and Foundation forward as we strive to provide access to education through scholarships and support of innovative programs and initiatives through the Foundation grants program.” Valente has spent his career in higher education resource development and administration. Before coming to JCC, he worked five years as director of development at Schoolcraft College in Livonia. At Schoolcraft, he was responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Schoolcraft College Foundation, Development, Special Events and Alumni Relations. Prior to coming to Schoolcraft College, he spent five years at Concordia University in Ann Arbor serving as the director of institutional advancement. Originally from Novi, Valente has lived in Jackson since 1999. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Concordia University. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and has served in various leadership capacities there, including congregational president. He currently serves on the Family Centered Care Board at Holden Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at C.S. Mott Women and Children’s Hospital of the University of Michigan Health System. His wife, Elizabeth, is a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. They have one daughter, Abby. |
