Jackson Community College is pleased to announce the exciting entertainment lineup for the 2008-09 Potter Center season. Season subscription tickets go on sale to new subscribers July 10, and individual

The 2008-09 season will include: The Rat Pack is Back 7:30 p.m., Sept. 30, 2008. Tickets: $29, $25, $21This spirited tribute recreates the famous swingin,’ ring-a-ding group known as the “Rat Pack” starring Vegas’ four favorite sons: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin and Joey Bishop. The Rat Pack is Back features uncanny vocal recreations, unbridled humor, and a hot, live big band that sends audiences straight back to the coolest time in history. Hits include “That’s Amore,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Mr. Bojangles,” and many more. Kenny Loggins 8 p.m., Oct. 11, 2008. Tickets $47, $43, $38 For over three decades, Kenny Loggins has been inviting listeners to experience music that reaches the heart and the senses with disarming candor, authentic emotion and rich lyrical and melodic resonance. This two time Grammy winning singer-songwriter will perform his classic hits such as “Whenever I Call You ‘Friend’,” “I’m Alright” and the Academy Award-nominated hit, “Footloose.” LA Theatre Works: The War of the Worlds & The Lost World 8 p.m., Oct. 17, 2008. Tickets $29, $26, $22 Join L.A. Theatre Works, America’s premiere radio theatre company, for a special back-to-back double bill of chills, thrills and great literature as they present two masterpieces of science fiction and adventure: War of the Worlds and The Lost World. This show features a first-rate cast, live sound effects, and a connection to the audience rarely felt in a traditional theater setting. NUNSENSE starring Sally Struthers 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008. Tickets $38, $34, $28 Nunsense begins with the Little Sisters of Hoboken discovering their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. Characters such as Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer, and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head, fill this show. Featuring star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon. Dancing Queen 8 p.m., Nov. 1, 2008. Tickets $32, $28, $24 This thrilling and exciting Tango Fire production features a quartet of brilliant young musicians, passionate dancers and a great singer performing the music of the legendary Astor Piazzolla. Tango Fire offers a journey from the red light district of Buenos Aires, to the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, into the world of contemporary ballroom dance. Nebraska Theatre Caravan: A Christmas Carol 8 p.m., Dec. 13, 2008.
