Financial aid goes green with online notification

Jackson Community College’s financial aid office has gone green, cutting back on paper mailings and e-mailing students to notify them on the status of their aid packages.

JCC students will need to log in to the College’s e-Services interface through the web site at www.jccmi.edu to check on the status of their financial aid.  There, students can accept or decline awards, or see what other documents will need to be turned in.

“We want to speed up the time and processing of student aid to make it more efficient,” said Charlotte Finnegan, dean of student services. “This also represents a big savings in the cost of mailing and in paper. We are sending one letter per student, and everything else is via e-mail and e-Services.”
