Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the International Honor Society of the Two Year College.  It is centered around the four hallmarks:  Scholarship, Leadership, Fellowship, and Service.

Participation in the organization on the local level is not required. You may simply chose to use the benefits as you deserve them. PTK has the honors study topic of Gold, Gods, and Glory: The Global Dynamics of Power.

If you qualify and would like to become a member, simply print and fill out the New Member Application, print out and have signed the Faculty Affirmation Form. Send both forms, along  with a one time fee of $80.00 (payable to Phi Theta Kappa) to

  • The $80.00 fee  includes local, regional, and international dues, as well as the graduation stole. 
  • The next induction is scheduled for February 2008 - exact day to be announced.
  • Inductees should arrive no later than 10:30, the ceremony begins at 11 am in the Synder Cafeteria located in the George Potter Center on Main Campus, semi formal dress wear (no jeans, ripped shirts, etc.).
  • Attendance at induction is NOT mandatory in order to be a member. Simply send in your fee and forms to the advisor.
