Joint Program Agreement between
Kellogg Community College & Jackson Community College
for the program of Medical Laboratory Technology

·         The intent of this agreement is that students take courses at JCC and KCC while completing the Medical Laboratory Technology program.

·         The only prerequisite for this program is Beginning Algebra which might have been completed in high school or can be completed in college.

·          It is recommended that you apply immediately to KCC and indicate MLT as your curriculum.

All students are encouraged to be formally admitted to the program by Kellogg Community College prior to beginning the program, and are required to do so prior to enrolling for the occupational specific courses. Every effort will be made to develop a site for the required clinical experience in the students final semester within the Jackson Community College District. The AAS Degree will be awarded by Kellogg Community College.

This agreement is valid until either party determines the program is no longer viable, in which case written notice must be given at least one year in advance to allow students who have been formally admitted to the program the opportunity to complete. It is the joint responsibility of each college to keep this agreement updated with current course information.
