PRE- VETERINARY MEDICINE

Because admission to the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine is competitive and the majority of successful applicants have completed at least three years of a bachelor’s degree program, students who are enrolled in the preveterinary program are encouraged to plan toward a baccalaureate degree in a major consistent with their interests and alternative educational and career goals. Pre-Veterinary Medicine at MSU is a non degree granting major for freshman and sophomores admitted to MSU.

Students wanting to transfer to MSU should complete the Lower Level Integrative Studies courses (see below).
To be admitted to the University, all transfer students MUST have completed the mathematics, writing and U.S. History requirements prior to applying for admission.
When applying to MSU, GPAs will be recalculated including all courses, all attempts and all colleges.
A maximum of 60 credit hours required for completion of the degree at MSU may be transferred from JCC.
