MSU Computer Policy

  • All transfer students will be required to own an internet-compatible computer.

Transfer Admissions: 2000 and Beyond:
All students transferring with fewer than 28 transferrable credit hours are required to live on campus.  There are a few exceptions based on age (20), is married, has dependents, or lives with parent or legal guardian within a 50 mile radius of the campus.
MSU has seen a significant increase in the number and academic quality of both freshman and transfer pools.  In Spring and Fall 2001, admissions consideration will be weighted toward upper-division transfer students. Students who apply to MSU with fewer than 50 transferable credits are encouraged to have an alternate plan.

MSU's Mathematics Placement Service Exam (MPS Exam)
If you have not completed JCC's MTH 140:Precalculus, MTH 145: Finite Mathematics, or MTH 151: Calculus;  then you will need to take the MPS Exam.  You may take it online (at least 5 days prior to orientation) at: http://orientation.msu.edu/aso/aso_to_do.html  Scroll down to view exam information.
