·         It is strongly recommended that student complete the MACRAO Agreement. 

Admission to any music major is by audition. Auditions are usually held in November for students enrolling in winter and in February and March for students enrolling in fall.  Contact WMU's Music Advising Office (269) 387-4672 a year prior to transfer for information.

No more than 37 hours in music courses can be transferred. Competency in applied music, music theory and piano proficiency for non-pianists will be determined by demonstration and/or examination, which precludes the automatic transfer of credit in these areas

A total of 122 credits is required for completion of the degree. A maximum of 62 credit hours required for completion of the degree at Western Michigan University may be transferred from JCC.
