Corrections Certificate

Corrections – Certificate (CORR.CERT)

This certificate program offers an opportunity to begin a study of all of the components of corrections. Students will explore institutions, private security, and the general safekeeping of all individuals detained. It provides a starting point to continue with an associate degree or become employed in many sectors. Employment includes prison guards, jail correction officers, juvenile facility youth specialist (both public and private) and private security.

Corrections Core Requirements – (15 credits)

Take the following:

*Recommended for prospective State of Michigan correctional officers. Each corrections course must be completed with a 2.0 to meet the requirement of the Michigan Correctional Officers Training Council.
