Monthly Tuition Payments

To help you meet your educational expenses Jackson Community College is pleased to offer FACTS as a convenient budget plan.  FACTS is a tuition management plan that provides you with a low cost option for budgeting tuition and other educational expenses.  It is not a loan program, therefore you have no debt, there are not interest of finance charges assessed and there is no credit check.  The only cost to budget monthly payments through FACTS is a $30.00 per semester nonrefundable enrollment fee.  Students must have a valid credit card, checking account or savings account from which their monthly payments will be charged or withdrawn.

How FACTS Works

Using FACTS is simple. You may budget your tuition and fees one of two ways:

  1. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) - ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at Jackson Community College. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5th of each month and will continue until the balance due the college is paid in full.
  2. Credit Card Option - Many students and families have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to Visa or MasterCard. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. If you elect to use this option, your monthly payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the 5th of each month.

Note:  Should an ACH or credit card payment be missed, a $25 missed payment fee will be automatically assessed to your account.  You will be notified by FACTS of the missed payment via mail.

Completing the FACTS Agreement

Whether you enroll on-line or complete the paper agreement form, be sure you have the following information:

  1. Your student ID, as assigned by JCC.
  2. The name and address of the person responsible for making the payments.
  3. Account Information for the responsible person.

If paying by automatic bank payments you will need the bank name, telephone number, account number, and the bank routing number. Most of this information is located on your check. If enrolling via the paper agreement process, you will need to attach a voided check.

If paying by credit card, you will need the credit card number and expiration date.

How to enroll on-line

Enrolling on-line is simple. Go to the FACTS page in the Business Office site. After you have read the payment information, click Continue at the bottom of the page. You will then enter your Student ID, birthdate and semester (term). After your tuition has been calculated you can proceed to e-Cashier to setup payment. Just click the e-Cashier logo at the bottom of the page.

Once you are in e-CASHIER, review all information and refer to the menu bar at the top for additional answers to questions you may have. After you have reviewed all information, scroll down and select the "Proceed" button. Follow the simple steps outlined. After you have accepted the Terms and Conditions and submitted your agreement, you will receive an immediate e-mail (if e-mail address was provided). This e-mail will confirm receipt of your enrollment through FACTS e-CASHIER.

Commonly Asked Questions about FACTS

  1. If I choose to make payments automatically from my bank account, does that mean FACTS or the college has direct access to my account?

    No. This is a common misconception about automatic payments. No one other than your own financial institution ever sees or has access to your account. When you set up an automatic payment through FACTS., you have authorized a specific amount to be paid on a predetermined date each month.

  2. When will payments begin?

    Your down payment will be processed immediately after submitting your on-line agreement. The monthly payment then follows the schedule you selected.

  3. Can I make changes to my budget plan?

    Yes. Contact the Jackson Community College Cashier's Office to determine what type of changes can be made to your account. Any changes must be approved at least 10 business days before the payment date, (517) 796-8434.

Important!

Call FACTS at (800) 609-8056 to make any changes to your address, phone, or banking information. JCC does not allow any other changes to your agreement with FACTS. If you have questions regarding your FACTS Agreement please contact FACTS directly or go to "MY FACTS" Account to review your agreement on line. Please remember to access "MY FACTS" Account, the instructions are located in your confirmation letter or e-mail. Down/Full Payments

Please remember, once you have submitted your FACTS Agreement on-line, any down payments or full payments are deducted immediately.
