Students transferring from Jackson Community College who have met the MACRAO Agreement will be considered as having fulfilled the COMMUNICATION and GENERAL EDUCATION requirements unless otherwise specified by a particular major. This guide sheet is written primarily for students not planning to complete the MACRAO Agreement for SAU—Jackson Site’s Graduate and Professional Studies programs.

NOTE: A minimum of 124 credits are required for completion of the bachelor’s degree. A maximum of 84 credit hours may be transferred from JCC. To enter the admissions process, students must have 58 transferable college semester credit hours. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA overall and a 2.20 GPA in all major course work. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for all BSN and BSW degree graduates. Minimum SAU requirements for each degree major: Family Life Education - 42-44 semester hours, Management and Organizational Development - 38 sem. hrs., Business - 45 sem. hrs., Nursing – 42 sem. hrs., Social Work – 49 sem. hrs.
