Agreement of Cooperative Services for
Airframe and Power Plant Technician Program
Between Jackson Community College and Michigan Institute of AeronauticsThis agreement, made this 15th day of June 1968 between Michigan Institute of Aeronautics, Willow Run Airport, 47884 D. Street, Belleville, MI 48111 and Jackson Community College, 2111 Emmons Road, Jackson, MI 49201
Whereas, both colleges desire to make available an Airframe and Power Plant Associate in Applied Science program to their students, and
Whereas, Jackson is a State Licensed and North Central approved Community College and,
Whereas, Michigan Institute of Aeronautics does provide and FAA approved Airframe and Power Plant program and,
Whereas, both colleges desire to provide educational services to their students in the most economical way and,
Whereas, both colleges recognize the community and professional need for Airframe and Power Plant personnel,
Now, therefore, for and in consideration of the premises and the mutual covenants and agreement herein contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Michigan Institute of Aeronautics
a. Will screen all interested applicants in their service area through their admission office.
b. Refer candidates to Jackson Community College for all the general education course work.
c. Provide the following academic courses for Aviation Technology requirements:
Air Science: Air Science I, Air Science II
Airframe: Airframe I, Airframe II, Airframe III
Powerplant: Powerplant I, Powerplant II, Powerplant III
d. Maintain a Federal Aviation Administration approved program and provide JCC
with a copy of license.
2. Jackson Community College
a. Determines the qualification of and accepts the college application of the
Michigan Institute of Aeronautics students involved in this agreement.
b. Accepts all satisfactorily earned (2.0 g.p.a. or equivalent) credits taken both
Michigan Institute of Aeronautics and at Jackson Community College.c. Provide the following General Education course work:

d. Grant the Associate in Applied Science degree, Aviation Maintenance
Technology, to students who complete all the requirements for the degree at
both institutions.
3. Termination
a. This agreement may be terminated at any time by either party by notice given
to the other party in writing at least one year prior to the effective date of such
termination; provided, however that Michigan Institute of Aeronautics students
at Jackson Community College at the time of the notice be allowed to finish the
entire program at JCC.
b. This agreement will be reviewed and revised as necessary but shall remain in
effect until terminated as specified by the termination clause of the agreement.
c. This agreement is binding on all successors and assign of Michigan Institute of
Aeronautics and Jackson Community College.
In Witness Whereof, Michigan Institute of Aeronautics and Jackson Community College have executed this Agreement as of the 30th day of July 1988.
