Option 1: Bachelor of Arts Degree - in Academic Major (degree in subject area not education)
Option 2: Bachelor of Arts Degree - Child Development
Option 3: Bachelor of Arts Degree - Elementary Tri-minors

 

This is only a guide. Students should contact Siena Heights University during their first semester at JCC.  Students do not need to complete all the courses listed below before transferring.

*Note: Siena Heights University determines catalog of entry at the date student enters their university. If there is a change in a degree while a student was at JCC, the student would be expected to meet that requirement.

Major and Minor Requirements: Since teacher education is not an academic major or minor, students select one of the following options:

One planned minor: elementary program, early childhood emphasis

B.A. - in Academic Major

Option 2

Early Childhood Major – ALL course work to be completed at SHU

Two academic minors: art, English, history, integrated science, language arts, mathematics, music, Spanish

B.A. - Child Development

Option 3

None

Two academic minors: art, English, history, integrated science, language arts, mathematics music, Spanish

AND one planned minor: elementary program, early childhood emphasis

B.A. - Elementary Tri-minors
