About the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor...

The University of Michigan is comprised of twelve colleges: College of Architecture and Urban planning; College of Engineering; College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; College of Pharmacy; Dental Hygiene Program; Kinesiology; School of Art & Design; University of Michigan Business School; School of Education; School of Music; School of Natural Resources and Environment; School of Nursing.  These colleges are discrete, that is, students apply to one of the colleges.

Dental Hygiene is a baccalaureate degree program designed to offer students an expanded education resulting in increased career opportunities.  It consists of a year of prescribed college courses, followed by three years of enrollment in the School of Dentistry.  The equivalent of 30 semester hours of college-level work in liberal arts is a prerequisite to the three-year curriculum in Dental Hygiene.  College transfer students applying for admission must present at least a 2.5 GPA.  The 30* semester hours should include:
