  • Coursework with a grade of at least 2.0 will be transferable.

  • Students do not need to complete all the courses listed below before transferring.

About the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor...

The University of Michigan is comprised of twelve colleges: College of Architecture and Urban planning; College of Engineering; College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; College of Pharmacy; Dental Hygiene Program; Kinesiology; School of Art & Design; University of Michigan Business School; School of Education; School of Music; School of Natural Resources and Environment; School of Nursing.  These colleges are discrete, that is, students apply to one of the colleges.

Pre-Medicine is not a bachelor's degree.  Most pre-med students major in biochemistry or similar degree. These degrees are located in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Biology concentrators are encouraged to take introductory biology courses at the University of Michigan.

Four semesters of ONE foreign language, or fourth-term proficiency in a language other than English. Students planning a concentration in Chemistry are strongly encouraged to fulfill the foreign language requirement with German courses.  Otherwise, students should major in French, German or Spanish.
