Provisional Admissions to Teacher Education
CMU
has initiated a Provisional Admissions Program to assist community college
transfer students and to recruit quality students into the teaching profession.
This program is designed for students seeking admission to the wide variety of
teaching fields available at CMU, including elementary, middle, secondary, and
special education.
While the admissions acceptance rate for community college transfer
students has averaged 97 percent, many students like to begin the process early
to be sure of their future in teacher education. For provisional admissions to
be considered complete, students must have completed at least 45 semester hours
of course work with a 2.7 or higher grade point average. For more information,
contact CMU Admissions toll free at (888) 292-5366.
