The
student must achieve passing scores on the Michigan Test for Teacher
Certification (MTTC) - Basic Skills Section. It is recommended that this
test be taken during the second semester of a student’s freshman year.
Education is a second admit program. This means you first apply to
Eastern Michigan University and then you apply to for admittance to the
College of Education. Being admitted to EMU does not mean you will be
admitted to the College of Education. Attend the Group Advising
Session and check out information on the webpage to learn what the
requirements for admittance to the College of Education are.
A
total of 124 credits is required for completion of the degree. A minimum
of 60 credit hours exclusive of Community College credit must be
completed at EMU.
