This is only a guide.  Students should contact the transfer school for program advising.

Coursework with a grade of at least 2.0 will be transferable.  Note: Students do not need to complete all the courses listed below before transferring.  Hillsdale College is not a signator to The MACRAO Agreement.

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree - Courses as listed below plus a twelve-hour competency in a foreign language. Completing the fourth semester of a foreign language fulfills this requirement.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree - Courses as below including a heavy emphasis on laboratory science and mathematics courses to total 36 hours.

Hillsdale College requires students complete
  • their English 101 (Freshmen Rhetoric and the Great Books I) and English 102 (Freshmen Rhetoric and the Great Books II). Although our ENG 131 and ENG 132 will transfer for credit it is NOT recommended students be advised to take these courses unless they have weak composition skills.
  • their History 104 (The Western Heritage to 1600) and History 105 (The American Heritage). JCC history courses do NOT fulfill this requirement.

Two activity courses

Because of the courses which must be completed at Hillsdale it is recommended students transfer after completing one year at JCC. A minimum of 124 credits is required for graduation. A maximum of 62 credits may be transferred from JCC. Course work with a grade of at least 2.0 will be transferable.
