Information
specific to Teacher Education
There are two basic
Teacher Education (TE) levels – elementary and secondary.
-
All Teacher
Education programs are five (5) years.
·
First four
(4) years focus on academic discipline course work, plus Teacher Education
course work. Focus of education is on academic discipline no matter
what level of teaching.

Fifth year
is graduate education courses and a full-time, nine-month internship.
Some credits from graduate-level professional study during internship may be
applied to a master’s degree program.
