The University of
Michigan is comprised of twelve academic units:
College of Architecture and Urban Planning; College of Engineering; College
of Literature, Science, and the Arts; College of Pharmacy; Dental Hygiene
Program; Kinesiology; School of Art & Design; University of Michigan
Business School; School of Education; School of Music; School of Natural
Resources and Environment; School of Nursing.
These colleges/academic
units are discrete; that is, students apply to one of the colleges.
About 80% of all undergraduate students who attend UM are in the LS&A
College. JCC transfers many students to the
College of
Engineering
and the School of Nursing, as well as LS&A.
